There is no visual quality difference. You can purchase a cable from monoprice for around $6 and there's no visual difference.

As far as visual quality goes i believe they are the same, so i hear. But i would think that higher priced cables are made with better materials, which inturn would provide a longer life for your cable.

I've got expensive HDMI cables and I've got cables from monoprice.com and there is no difference in video quality.

Get the cheap ones. I found a sale online, and grabbed 3 for $20.

No, there isn't. The difference between the more expensive cables and the cheaper ones is the expensive cables are shielded.

there is no real difference whatsoever, Monster Cables have a very sweet distribution and sales deal with most major retailers, which is why they jack their prices up so high, it's very rare to see competing brands get shelf-space in brick and mortar retailers. Because they figure they've got a de facto monopoly on instant gratification sales they jack their prices up, way, way up. U can get shielded and high quality material HDMI's over the internet for a fraction of the cost of a monster cable, don't be a sucker there's no difference, I got a pair of $20 HDMI's a few years ago from some noname PC cable vendor online and they work fantastic.
