Just a general question. When I get my PS3, to experience it its full HD glory do I need a HDMI cable and a component AV cable or just one? And if I just need one cable, which one gives the best HD quality? Any answers are greatly appreciated. :)

that would depend. do you have surround sound? if not, then just use HDMI.

if you do have surround sound, does your surround sound receiver accept HDMI and have an output for HDMI? if yes, then just use HDMI(but get 2 cables)

if you do have surround sound, but your surround sound doesn't support HDMI, then you can use either component for the audio or you can use an optical cable(which is what I use)...if your surround sound receiver supports optical.
