Do I want a PS3?

I'm thinking of buying a PS3, but I want to make sure it will play all of my PS1 and Ps2 games. Final Fantasy VII, VII DoC, Viii, IX, X, X-2, XII, Resident Evil: CV, 4, Tenchu, Silent Hill 2, 3, 4, Shadow of the Collossus, MGS 2, 3, GoW. Will these play? I'm only doing this for FF XIII, and MGS4. Help me!superzero14

the longer you wait though might mean the more of those wont work

supposedly any PS3 MADE, not bought, after april 1st will no longer have the EE chip in it so your BC % will drop from around 98% to about 75%

b) It isn't up to Kojima, it's up to Konami. They need to make money, they can't make money off a game if there aren't enough people to make a large enough profit off of it. Look at it from a business perspective.

b) It isn't up to Kojima, it's up to Konami. They need to make money, they can't make money off a game if there aren't enough people to make a large enough profit off of it. Look at it from a business perspective.

Dude i dont think anyone ask for your opinion about the PS3. as i recall the 360 has some backwards compatability issues as well.

go to the ps3 website and type in your list of games it will tell you the compatibility problems

i already know for sure there is major problems, with final fantasy chronicles, anthology, suikoden 2, and 7 and plenty of other games i already looked them up, perhaps there will be a patch to fix this but if you have a ps 2 i would recommend keeping that since it plays all ps1  games flawlessly to my knowledge

besides i just called gamestop today to see how much i could get on trade in for a ps 2, he said 35 dollars i laughed in his face, they are selling them for like 120-130
