Do other family members use your ps3 for other things besides games?

My mom and wifeuses it to watch dvd movies. yeah, i do not have any stand-alone dvd player in my living room so the ps3 serves as my dvd player.

I got a PS3, and got into watching Blu-rays, my parents have seen it and are like wow, that looks amazing.

Few weeks later, I come home from campus, and their both in my room watching a blu-ray movie. It was the funniest thing i've ever seen (they never spent more than 3 mins in my room for as long as i can remember).

VA had a tax free weekend earlier this month, so my dad had me pick him up his own PS3 to watch blu-rays.

I thought it was funny, next mission get my dad to actually play Tiger07 by himself. lol

Same here. Although I like to watch movies (BD and DVD) on it and occasionally surf the web.

I watch blu-rays, and stream music from my pc from it to my home theater. I also leave my tv on and let it play slide shows of my pictures.

It is the main media center in my living room, so my wife and 3 year old enjoy it also. Im the only one who games though.

Funny story though. I have had a surround sound system with DVD player for a couple years, so with the component I plugged the audio into the surround sound. A couple months after I got my PS3, my DVD player crapped out but the aux still works, I can still watch movies in surround sound, with better quality. So I could care less.
