Just wondering because I bought a PS3 yesterday and was thinking about getting a couple PS2 games to play on my PS3.

yeah actually they do look better... there is an upscaling option for games.... also vector based text in menus etc willl look better in high definition.... Also if youre using HDMI and use the best settings for that, the colors will look significantly better. I played Okami on the PS2 and on PS3 and was surprised how much nicer it looked on the PS3.

I dunno. I sawa fewround my friends house on his PS3. I didn't ask. When I got my PS3 I threw all my PS2 games out, so I cant check.

By the way, does Monster Hunter actuall work on PS3, cause I may get it if it does. I got Freedom on PSP and it's okay. Can anyone tell me what it's like and if it's good?

As long as you have the latest firmware the games will play at the highest resolution that can be displayed from the game on you TV as long as you have either the component or HDMI cables (the PS2 AV/component cable will work on the PS3). Another thing is you may have to go to the PSN store and get the PS emulator software that is a on the site (sometimes you have to go to games tab and search for the download from there). This may be needed for some PS2 games am not surebecause once I found it I went ahead and got it just to be sure.
