Do trophies carry over ?

So I have a 60GB PS3, say if I bought a new PS3 and signed in with my usual account would the trophies carry over onto that new system ?

Yes, but your game saves won't. Get a USB stick and back them up onto that.havokmaster

Cheers, ye I know about all the data has to be transferred manually. I was just thinking do the trophies only save on your system, but then remembered about that "sync with server" message, so thought they must be saved elsewhere.

Depends on the Game but I guess that it does carry overin almost every game out there

Just sync them before you back up your system. If you haven't you'll get a message reminding you to. Just do that and you'll be good.
