I got GTA IV when it came out and still haven't beat it. Decided to play MGS4 when I got it instead and went ahead and beat that since it was just awesome but I'm in no hurry with GTA.

I was bad at this last gen.

I've beaten all my games this gen and I intend to keep it that way.

No new games till all others are finished.

I usually don't finish the games I buy. Normally something good comes out and I get that. The last game I finished was The Force Unleashed, but that game is pretty short. I haven't finished GTA IV, Heavenly Sword, Guitar Hero III, Mass Effect, Uncharted...the list goes on and on. I've gone back to GTA IV for now, but I'm sure I'll drop it when LittleBigPlanet hits.

I try and finish everything, but I usually do it in my own time. I like to have them there for when I am wanting to try something so I buy all that I am able and play whatever suits my fancy. In the end they all get finished.

I wish I could say I do, but several of my games turned out to be the most dismal pieces of crap this side of Chuck Norris. (That wasn't a Norris plug, I f*cking HATE Chuck Norris.) I cannot finish a game unless I'm fully invested in it, and Sonic the Hedgehog didn't catch me.

So no.

I usually have a few games that I play at a time. This month I'll have Far Cry 2, Socom, LBP, Saints Row 2 and Fallout 3, and I'll most likely be playing them att he same time.

I can't think of why any gamer would buy a game and not finish it. I am not saying must must only play that game until it's finished before you get another. But you should always finish any game you where willing to pay good money for.

For awhile I hadn't been finishing many games and would just pick more new games. Length didn't really matter whether or not I'd finish it. Lately I've been working on finishing all the games I've purchased. It actually has worked out well during release droughts. I don't think I'd enjoy the games as much if I forced myself to finish a game before picking up a game I'm really psyched to get.

The only time I don't finish a game is either

A.When it's seriously pissing me off so much I have to do something else to keep from breaking something.

Or B.When a game I really wanted to play comes out.

I finish just about all of them. A select few, Alone in the Dark 4, Resident Evil 4 and 2, and Resistance, I replayed multiple times. I even forced myself to finish Cold Fear. Actually, got much better as you played it. Oh year, red Dead Revolver too.

On the other hand, there were a few that I just could not stand, and sold within a day or two. Alone in the Dark 5 was one.

I always feel like I cheated myself a bit when I dont finish a game.

2 cents. AZ

workin on star wars:force unleashed (game gets frustrating if i play more than an hour cuz of how clunky the controlls are)

If finishing the game means going through the end credits, then i finish games. But i sometimes dont do the whole 100% completion thing. Only thing i did that for was GTAIV.

I know the one game im not gonna finish or touch is FFIV DS. I spent hours grinding a lvl'ing, and then it just so happens you go back to level 1 like half-way through the game and that pissed me off

Hahahahaha! Yeah I think I've bought a couple of games I never finished.

This gen at least:

Motorstorm- this game gets very frustrating the more you progress. damn headaches.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2- only got it for online multiplay, campaign was boring and very unforgiving.

Burnout Paradise- way too much to complete, good thing it came out with trophies for incentive.

Army of Two- simple...game was crap.

Most of it. Games such as GTAIV or a really long RPG game I don't tend to finish since I get bored of it. But I will ocassionally come back to it and try my best to finish the game.

Always wtih a few exceptions.

1. I get stuck on a part that I just can't pass so I quit (but I usually come back eventually to finish it)

2. Too boring and I can't bring myself to finish it

I was really bad at this last gen too so im trying to change it this time round, even if i have to come back later to finish it.

So far ive finished R&C:TOD 100% and almost GTAIV 100%, im jus collecting those birds.
COD4 im playing veteran mode and im stuck like halfway in "No fighting in the war room" and have been for ages.
Burnout paradise i have my burnout licence but it got way to repetitive for me so i don't aim to finish it.

Right now I'm playing my way thru ninja gaiden and uncharted and wont start anything else till im done with them (although will all the great games coming out this month im not gonna guarantee it :P)

I agree.

IMO, it's a waste of money to leave games unfinished. I reason why I buy/play games is to play it until the end.

And I buy 1 game at a time. The most amount of games I bought at the same time is two.

Whenever I buy 2 games, I try both first then choose which one to beat first. The unchosen one will never be touched until I beat the chosen one. Hehe!

It depends on the game really. I got Motorstorm and Ridge Racer with the PS3 and still havent completed either of those, same with RFoM. I'll probably go back and finish them shortly... not that far from the end on any of them.

Then, there are games that are so crappy that I jus think itd be a waste of my time to play them any longer, for example WWE Smackdown 2008, and Virtua Fighter.

But a lot of my games now, I play for the online community... play it till either I finish, or the community dies down cos something else came out (eg. stopped playing CoD 4 when Battlefield came out). But I think I'll be going back to some of my older games to knock those off.

Usualy I only finish games I like..I wont finish a game just for the sake of being able to say "yeah..I finished that game.."

usualy I finish only about 80% of my games...sometimes I just get tired of them and complete them another time (I played nfs most wanted for example..finished 80% of it then just stopped...I wasent stuck just got tired of it...then I came back and completed it 4 mounths later)

I still buy new games even if I havent finished older ones..though usualy I'll finish the old one eventualy...even if it will take me another 2 mouths or so to feel like playing it again (doesnt happen with all games though...mgs4 I completed in 3 days...gta san andreas I completed in 9 days..really depends how much I like the game)

i used to automatically finish games just by playing and enjoying them. for instance, my n64, i didn't have many games for it, but the games i did have i played and saw most things (unless there were moments that were too difficult for me, then i stopped).

when i got a psone, i played through all the final fantasies (of course - like novels). but when i got a playstation 2, i stopped playing completely through my games unless they could hold my attention for a long time. and that is where i am now, so completion isn't like a 'goal' for me, but if a game is that good i will probably be excited to play through it all.

and i don't bother 'completing' racing games/fighting games etc.

The only game I got and never bothered finishing it was COD3. That game was soooo bad. However, GTAIV was the game where I had to FORCE myself to complete the boring storyline just because I paid 85$ for it which wasn't worth it at all.

I make an effort to finish every game i buy, and i replay games a large amount of times (most games i own i've finished at least twice)

That being said, there are many lengthier games that i own that i haven't finished yet, ether because i don't have the time (Final Fantasy 12), or because i lose interest ( GTA 4 )

I find that there's usually a two week window where i will focus on playing a new game, and after that i'll slow down a bit and play other games. Most new games get finished within those two weeks, and if they dont, then it takes either weeks or months, depending on the length of course.

I do make an effort to finish some of the games i own before i buy new ones, but i'm a bargain whore, so if i find anything cheap, i'll buy it and then the pile of unfinished games gets larger.

I try to finish games before I buy new ones. It's hard for me though because I play a lot of sports games which can't technically be beaten.

Do you buy games if you did not finish your other gam that you're playing? i dont buy games until i finish a game.box0rocks

It´s allways good to have a few games to chose from if you get stuck at one.

I play several games at one point, like Oblivion and NHL09.

I've completed all mine except for Genji:days of the blade which i got with my PS3 bundle aswell as a couple of other games. But i have completed all my games but Genji, as its total rubbish, the only good thing is the graphics, and i've had it for a year and a half now.

I've finished the SP modes of every PS3 game I have except for GTA4 and DMC4.

I don't know what it is about DMC games but I always do the same thing- I get halfway through the game and I get stuck. And then I don't play the game for months until I finally decide to go back to it and finish it. So there's a useless piece of information for you all.

I don't even remove the plastics from the game box, I like them shiny.
