I don't own this game yet, but I'm really digging the demo, and I'm sure the real game is a hell of alot better, especially because of online play. Though, is there something I'm missing, meaning does the game get boring really fast, or something? For those of you who own the game, what is your take on it?
Well i bought it, beat the single player and haven't even bothered playing online. Now this could be a combination of me being busy/ being addicted to GRAW2 but i do agree with the 7.9 the game got.
yes i gave it a 7.6! online is really the only thing this game has going for it. but 7 is a good score. it is still a blast and i do love the game. i just think people wont remeber it once the PS3 get more games. but if you are thinking of buying it i still do recomend it.
i own this game and i think its great. the graphics are amazing and will knock u back in your seat. but there are plent of different vehicles to chose from but only 8 tracks. but depending on which vehicle you chose depends on how you race the track. theres not lap that is the same. more tracks would be good but i still think its a great game. it wasnt as great as we would thought it would be but i think it deserves better then a 7.9 which is bout an 8. it deserves more but not much more.
only played the demo.. but that score seems good from what i've seen.. maybe a 8.2 or something like that if it had split-screen multi...gekidami
if it had split-screen multiplayer i would've loved the game.. see i had been looking forward to ramming my friends of cliffs and all for a long time untill ... the news :'(

Wow, I guess I'm in minority in really liking this game?   I love the graphics and racing gameplay.  Id give it an 8.7 or 8.8.... If it had 4-6 more tracks and splitscreen Id give it 9.3 or 9.4.... Very fun game IMO
MotorStorm is a great example of how differently reviewers see and score games that are somewhat bare-bones, Alex gave it a 7.9 and called it short, but in the case of Jeff he didnt had any trouble giving a game with 6 hour long campaign and 1 multiplayer mode with three different names a 9.6, it would have been interesting to see them score each others games, you would probably have seen MotorSotorm score go up and the other game score go down
Well online play is fantastic, t don't really mind the single player mode I just wish we had the option to play multiplayer offline (though split screen is a nuisance, the option to use it would have been welcome)...expecially when you have 3 friends over and everyone is getting pretty sick of watching you play (but u don't want to stop because its so damn cool).
 I haven't rated it yet but I would guess it to be somewhere between 8.0 and 8.5
Looking back on it now, yeah I do. I was mad at first cause I loved the game for the couple days I played it, but it has no value. Sure it's fundamental racing is incredible, but the game just lacks that reason to keep it. By mid-way through the game, Motorstorms starts to have a serious love for Mudpool, Sidewinder and The Grizzly and that's it. It's online sucks because of all the people so damn determined to get a God status setting all the races to being only one lap and racing through them as quick as possible....fun...and the fact that it has no splitscreen multiplayer is just down right bad. F1 had a reason, it was trying to be a true simulation. This games reason....graphics too good maybe? Still, a game like this needs splitscreen multiplayer. I actually agree with the 7.9. I'm not dissapointed I bought the game, though it's soon going in for trade, but I would only recommend people to rent it myself and I think that's what this review was saying too.
I dont agree with these point something out of 10 you cant be the exact with a review. I'd give it an 8 I think its great. But I got 2 games at launch and I think resistance is a better game overall.
is it me or is ps 3 games getting the shaft. every game i seen reviewed all ways gets a .9 after it. restistance, motorstorm. are they doing this so it looks worse than it is. so people can it got a 7 when really it got a 8.
I don't care about the score. Motorstorm is the most fun game on the PS3, that's all you need to know. I think GS shoul get rid of the scores and just do written reviews.

Though it doesn't really matter, Resistance got an 8.6, not a .9 but w/e.
to tell you the truth i dont play it that much i like rfom the best the game is good online is great when you can get into a race its not that easy so there is a challenge factor if the tweek online play ill play more
In general I think most games are overrated, but when they are giving games like Wii SSX Blur a 7.4Â you definetly think Motorstorm should be rated higher. Personally I think Motorstorm is one of the funnest racing games I've played and hands down the best looking.
i was'nt really into racing games.... UNTIL I PLAYED MOTORSTORM!!...! what a game... good solid fun...online is fantastic...graphics blew me away....all the different routes you can take....every vehicle feels different....i think i would have given it a 9.5.....love it!!!

fun factor is definately a 10/10 and thats what matters with games anyway. I disagree with the review big time i think it deserves around a 9. i gave it a 10 personally because its the most fun ive had playing a non realistic racing game(im more of a gt guy)
has anyone else noticed that the sky in motorstorm looks strange. it looks as though there are bands of blue running through it. curious to whether its my machine or if others have seen it. cheers. ps think it deserves between 8 and 9 score. its good fun and looks great.Â
There is no way I'd consider Motor Storm "GREAT" so 7.9 seems okay to me. The game is "Good" hopefully Motor Storm 2 has a lot more content and actually gets and deserves an 8.0 +.
The game is a 10/10 in graphics, physics, ai, gameplay. Online 12 man dethmatches are as good as it gets in racing games. The eight tracks are all so big and have so many routes, plus the variety of racing styles strategies for each different vehicle type more than make up for a perceived lack of content. Every race is alwys gonna be different depending on the vehicle you choose, and how the courses are deformed in real time. Lack of splitscreen only takes 1 point away from this awesome and addictive game. BTW, keep an eye out for future updates to make this game only get better ;)
