Do You Guys Have A 19 Blade Or 15 Blade PS3?

So today I was on the Official Sony PS3 Boards and I saw a topic about 15/19 bladed PS3s. Saying that 19 bladed PS3s were more reliable and quieter as opposed to the 15 bladed PS3s. Also that the number of blades on each PS3 depended on the location of where each individual PS3 was manufactured(Japan=19/China=15). Though sometimes China made PS3s had 19 blades and Japan made PS3s sometimes had 15 blades. Also that most launch PS3s were equipped with 19 blades regardless of manufacture location. Which also depended on the date of when the PS3 was manufactured. My PS3 was Made In China, super quiet, and was manufactured in February 2007, bought in July. Now since I didn't see this topic here, I might as well post it. What do you guys think?

I'm calling BS on this 15 blade 19 blade thing. Seriously, I've never heard of this before, it's been like 9 months since launch, the ps3 has already be dissected and I've never heard of it. You can even search on google and the only thing you'll find on it is that thread in the official playstation forums...munu9

i have no clue what your talking about. When i had my ps3 in those old fahionec square tv cabients it was hot and loud. Now since i have my HDTV stand that is larger and well ventelated its quiet and only gets warm not hot.

great work, sure I didn't test out my PS3 with the "dark room" test, but I turned off everything in my room except my PS3 and I'm glad to report that I heard nothing like a dead silence, I only heard sounds when I put my ear right next to the system it self so I think I have a 19 blade one. yay :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

15 blade and 19 blade are same but the 15 is louder than 19. I have a 15 and my brother has a 19 blade PS3... we extensively use the 15 blade one for like 8 to 10 hours daily which includes web surfing playing ps3 and ps2 games and thats been going strong since Nov 17 2006!

Can anyone particularly the one who made this topic explain to me in more detail what is the part or aspect of the PS3 that is indicated by the word "Blade"?JCblueside

Well, supposedly if your PS3 fan is 15 bladed, it will push less air there fore be louder, and the 19 bladed fan will push less air therefore it will be quieter. There is a link on the first page 0f this topic by D_Z

my ps3's fan(s?) gets loud sometimes but its and odd occurence and not noticable

my ps3 folds for atleast 3 days...after that depends on my mood on turning it off but atm its been on for about 1.5 weeks straight if it wus gunna blow it woulda blown
