Do you have a game that you can play that will give you relief for stress? I find [Prototype] quite fun to blow some stress on.

Not really. I play Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, and MLB 11 The Show a lot. When I get frustrated in Uncharted 2 or MW2, I try and calm down by playing some Baseball. But I still get frustrated playing MLB 11 The Show sometimes. It's when I actually get some good hits and earn some runs, that I calm down. Haha

Back when Prototype came out, and my friend had it, I used to blow off steam by sending a flying kick to nearby helicopters. Oh the fun. Nowadays though....I don't really have anything. Games I play all have the tendency to annoy me.

GTA4 if I just want to mess around and cause mayhem. Games in general though are a fun diversion though.

ES: Oblivion. That game is just so chill for the most part and there's pretty much always something to do whether it be a quest, looting, finding a cave, going through an oblivion gate, or taking a trip through the shivering isles. I feel bad getting Skyrim before completing every last thing in Oblivion, but there's just so much to do. Not to mention the graphics still hold up wonderfully, so it's always a different experience exploring new territories.

I used to relax while playing Harvest Moon games. Plant crops...brush animals...give flowers to all the happy townspeople.

I'll second that. Something about the experience of throwing myself into these other worlds helps me forget what was gnawing at my psyche to begin with :) .......usually. barring that, jumping into a FPS (COD) or ramming people off the road in a racing game (GT offline, thank you very much. I refuse to be "that guy") un-arguably helps at times. Gets that built up aggression out.

I'm surprised that no one has said Dead Rising 2. It's a great stress reliever, zombies to beat to death with virtually anything you desire. The controls are also simple enough for you to jump back into the game without having much of a "re-learning" curve. Awesome...

A good game to relax in is Portal 2, just kind of seems like using the brain cures all stress for me. Another good one is Sims 3. But the ultimate stress relief tool that you can access on your PS3, can you guess? Come on guys can you guess, you can watch endless hours of it, you can watch then go to sleep, or watch it for hours. We call this Netflix, what did you think I was gonna say you guys?

Yakuza 4 - the hostess maker mini-game where you try to get your girl to be #1 by dressing up them up and etc.

Oh, and I agree with the guy above. Netflix is a great way to relax. I'll either play the Spider-Man animated series, Shin Chan or Mystery Science Theater 3000.

I was playing Prince of Persia: Warrior Within HD on hard for the platinum and couldn't get passed the Empress fight in the middle of the game. I was close to eating my controller when I heard Flower was really relaxing. Downloaded and played it. My stress was gone after the first level. It really is an amazing game.

Yes my stress relief games are anything "old School" from the 16-bit era. Soon Playstation 3 Sonic's ultimate Genesis collection. An old game from PS2 (SHUMP)Or Playstation 1 "Shoot them up games" Super StarDust HD is the only modern PS3 game that provides stress relief.

Games that I do not have to re-learn and just enjoy Shooting things up, or a platformer. (plus I have the Big "N" second home console) for this.

So if I'm stressed Learning a new PS3 game is not the best thing. So playing a game such as "Catherine" would not provide stress relief

For stress, I normally stick on my bandana in Red Dead Redemption, and just shoot like you've never shot before, or keep trolling in multiplayer to get other people angry and stressed (oj, don't do that lol) :)

Classic Rampage. Sonic; Mario, that kinda thing. On the PS3; a quick go of ladder mode in Mortal Kombat is currently like my gaming stress reliever. Anything mindless yet satisfying.

Yeah this game is completely relaxing. Journey will probably be more of the same. I find Tron Evolution and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 to be relaxing. They arent hard games and you can sort of sit back and mindlessly plow through enemies. Infamous games are good too because you can pace yourself. You can just cruise around the city and take a mission whenever you want. In general, any action/adventure game that you can play at your own pace will do. Little Big Planet is a good one too.

The "REEL Fishing" series. Perfect for winding down.

MonkeySpot

I remember one of those games from the PS1 series. Definitely a game that would let you kick back and relax.
