i have the one that came with Warhawk, and i only use it while playing against/with friends online. since i don't wanna waste time speaking to people i don't even know.
I use the headset in ranked games. I get really mad when people on your team in a ranked room don't have mics. It makes me mad because NO ONE is using teamwork, and then your team ends up losing (and in the lobby screen you hear the other team chatting on mics).
They should make an option, so you have to make a noise in your mic to join a room. That way only people with mics can join.

i just played some games today on ranked servers. NO one was talking at all. and there was no team-work on our end. and lots of Team Work on the other team. and our team won? so how is that something to get mad over.. Play games to have fun, not to get mad. what the hell man :P
even though i love hearing people go Haywire over their mic and curse and call people tons of stupid stuff and im like "hahah, i love 12 year old kids" and then find out that he's like 34 or something.. i usually end up laughing while holding down the L3 button.
I have my headset I bought since Resistance. The reason I am wary to use it is because I can't stand trashtalking or listening to people whine or argue. Also can't stand monotonous swearing at all. So I usually have it turned way down and only talk when I really need to. I guess this could be interpreted as anti-social? Oh well.
Had the Warhawk headset, then I spilled Coke on it. Oops. But I bought a Plantronics Discovery 665 - costly but effective. I really only use it playing friends on Madden (great for trashtalking with buddies).
Yes, the Warhawk headset or my comfy PC headset when I feel like wearing something to keep my head warm. It's easy to start a conversation, you just need to be out-going.
I'll probably use the Playstation Eye when it comes it though.
