I agree with you both there a lot more standing up then i expectedWhile it may get better air distribution, it is more likely that dust will get into the system and can possibly ruin your games, which happened to me before I put it laying down...
It doesn't matter which way you place it, the design of the PS3 is rock solid either way.
Personally, I have it Horizontally.
I have mine horizontal for the simple fact that I have NEVER had a console vertical before, and it just seems weird.POJO_MOFO
yupp, the ps3 just doesnt look right vertical..guess its the shape of the system

Ouch, atleast its not a 360 cuase it would probibly be dead from heat exhaustion LOL.
