Alphabetical. It bothers me if they are out of place 8)
I only group by title ("F.E.A.R." then "F.E.A.R.2", "Resistance Fall of Man" then "Resistance 2"). I'm not really all that "retentive".
:)
Deff ABC order. My friend will come over pull a game out and then out it back in the wrong place...I flip **** lol
I have over 200 games in my collection, and have maybe played about 10% of it, so I'm sorting them in the order I want to play them. And that basically changes every week. But what can I say, I like a flexible system.
Special editions on the left, followed by the older red logo games, followed by the newer black logo games.
Within the color coded sections they are generally in order from best to worst. Except:
Where the reds and blacks meet I have DAO (red) trasitioning into DAO Awakwnings (black).
After typing that out I realized I might be a nerd.
i do that too lol. tho my dvds are just on my stand at random lol. shows where my priorities are :PA-Z on my DVD case. That way I can find them more easily.

Mine are in a stack rather than a line and most recently played is at the top ( and obviously the game I played longest ago is at the bottom ) :D

This is me too. It's not so bad with my PS3 games since I don't have as many yet. But I have 30 PS2 games and my younger cousin came over and pulled them all out and put them back all out of place. My son does that too sometimes. Drives me crazy. I'm a little bit OCD with organizing things. I used to have my DVD's this way as well but I have too many now so they've just stayed in the boxes since we moved.
I primarily rent so my collection is rather small. I really get hooked on about 90% of the games I play and I end up pulling all nighters and running through them quick. I can't justify $60 pricepoints when I burn through most titles in 10 hours or less. Also, if I bought every game I wanted to play then my wife would divorce me because my kid would be wearing paper towels and duct tape as diapers. If I buy a game, I rarely hold onto it unless it has incredible multiplayer. Even though I only own a handful of games, I do keep them in ABC order and by console. The only two games I have held onto this generation are Gears of War and SOCOM Confrontation. I bought both on launch and I still play them today.I have other games in my collection as well right now, but they will be sold eventually. I don't know why my answer to this question was so long.

Yeah... Mine are stacked too, until I get enough of a given system and they begin to topple. This explains why "BurnOut Paradise" is on the bottom. I dislike the game, with "BioShock" as it's companion. Just looking at the "BioShock" spine makes me livid...
Hate that snotty, **** game. Grrrrrrrrr... I see RED every time I even consider the name... "Bio****". Piece of rancid filth! Hate hate HATE it.

Then get rid of it.
Let me preface this by saying that I am so incredibly OCD.
I line my media stuff up on my shelf like so: |PS3-old case | PS3-new case | Wii |Blu Ray | DVD| The PS3 section is split up between old and new case styles (i hate having the red spin banner randomly in my collection). Within each section, it's alphabetical.
I like to place mine in the order that I like the. My favorites are to the right, least favorites to the left
All game cases are alphabetical by platform. All discs are in a DVD case the same way. Much easirer to find and more organized that way.
I group them standing up like a bookcase
In order of what I play the most...so it varies...everytime I play a new game it gets moved to the far right and everytime I switch the games that don't get played move further left...as of right now BFBC2 is my least played...and COD 4 is my most...and inbetween is some sports, Dragon Age, Tekken, MNR, Motorstorm and WaW...in no order...
I actually can't believe that BFBC2 moved all the way back lol...I used to play a TON on that game...now my preference is moving back to COD...The GOOD COD of course lol...but when I get 3-D Dot Game Heroes and Gran Turismo 5 my right side of most played will probably change really quickly lol =P.

Because for once in my life I listened to a clerk at a store about the quality of a game and he was DEAD wrong in my case. I don't fault anyone for liking it, but I couldn't stand it. From the concept to completion, the game steals imagery from films I loved as a kid, and delivers a boring, gawd-awful rip-off of "Metroid Prime" combined with "Psi-Ops". I can't stand the character design, pacing, Big Daddy/ Little Sister BS "morality" choices, crap level design, ridiculous telegraphed "powers" aquisition, vending machines for ammo etc., it was and still is the only game I regret spending money on in over a decade. I could have saved myself the aggrevation, expense, and the shelf space if I had only thought it out properly for a minute. But like a fool, I listened to a clerk and the gaming press instead of my own gut when I was told "Oh, it's a MUST-PLAY game". The truth (for me) is, that it's about as far from a historically significant title as can be found and far from the promised "unrivaled experience".
As to the idea of getting rid of it, I would... but I don't want to get bent over twice on the same title and that's the cornin' you take at resale, and as everyone has played it the value on eBay is just as insulting as taking it to GameStop. I will keep the title so that my nephew can play it or my roomie... But I won't waste another second on it, personally.
If you like the game, good for you. There's nothing wrong with you if you do like it, but unlike games like MGS, or "Tetris", I find absolutely nothing significant entertaining, or interesting about "Bio****".
Enjoy.
