Dont you just love the XMB i love it so much. i have each section filled up. i have pictures, music(like 800 songs), videos(lots of music videos and Jim gafffigan). And i also have games and friends. its great is'nt it!
I don't love it, but I like it. What I don't get though, is all the negative stuff about it. I've heard people say "It's so hard to navigate." and it just eludes me.

cause a lot of it really isnt necessary... load movies. load games.. ok job is done.. imo the xmb is the same as the other machines interface, except instead of a bar its sliders,, ur basically still pressing left right up down to navigate menus/ submenus. you have to start watching a video and then hit select and you will see a wierd looking icon come up if you go over to it and click it then it will come up with a thing telling you it is going to save 15 seconds from this point on so you can see from the main XMB

Go to videos play a video and then press triangle and go to select icon and then you can choose 15 secs of a selected part of the video.

well, basically at this point, when you hate something just to hate it, then you are in fact going out of your way to hate it. hating something without reason basically means your not acknowledging what the reason is. if sony wants to make it better, then they need a reason why, not just a mindless "me dont like it". 360 looks like its set up is just fine, i see no problem with it, but ive never used it, so i dont comment on it. your statement that a SD tv performs fine but you want a HDTV doesnt make sense, cause you didnt say what you wanted, you just said it sucked. the reason you want a HDTV over a SDTV is because of better picture, sound, better inputs, etc. at the end of the day, i dont care, but if you make useless comments like it sucks, then why even comment? your not contributing to the conversation, your just adding childish banter at this point. if you want input about an item, and you ask someone their opinion, does "it sucks" help in any way? no, it doesnt.

Love is a bit strong. I like the XMB. Then again, I've never used the Xbox360's version or the Wii's version of a basic home screen so I have little in terms of material for comparison.
I love the XMB. The web browser is "ok" at best. The fact that it is there is cool, but it isn't a very good browser :(. It doesn't really have anything to do with the XMB, so it doesn't change how I feel about it. The store is good, but could also use some work. All-in-all I think the XMB is easier to navigate than the 360's dashboard. Everything is broken down so it's easy to find.

The topic was a simple question & I gave a simple answer, you are the one turning it into something more. I simply said I didn't like it & that is really eating at you. I find it humorous & a bit pathetic at the same time. Your point is, as long as it functions why want something better. My point is your PS2 if you had one functioned & you still bought a PS3 because you wanted something better, it's called an analogy. Yes the XMB is functional, so what, does that mean we can't want something better, should we just accept it as is cuz "it's the PS3"? Come on, get real. Just so you know, only one person has really said anything about my answer, & he just attacked you for your post. Now you can see what i'm dealing with. There is simply no reasoning with this one. And yes, I would say i don't care for it because I find it unappealing, boring, just dull. It works well, I just don't care for it. I only brought up the other things to make a point, which apparently went right over his head somehow.
