I don't have a bluetooth headset but in ANY game i play either resistance F1 etc, i never hear anybody say anything even in squads and stuff. I've been playing all ranked games for like 4 months and not one game have i heard somebody talk. Do you need a headset to hear others talk or are all the people i've been playing with not have a headset?

i think so, though have you tried changing the headsets to come through your t.v instead of your non existant headset? idk if that would work or not.
Not in Motorstorm dont know if the fact that Im from Europe counts... But in MS I can hear what people say without having a headset plugged in -GhostHouse-
You do not need a headset to hear other people talk. You can set it to have other peoples voices come through your TV. You just can't talk to them. You need a headset to be able to talk to them.
Some games you will need a headset to hear other people, but in motorstorm and Warhawk (in the beta at least, which i doubt they'll change) you don't need a headset. I don't like hearing people through my TV though. It effects the other sound effects n the game, like I cannot hear it since people are talking so loud. I wish every game implemented squads to talk in, so I wouldn't HAVE to hear people in Warhawk, cause right now I don't know how to turn that off or if you even can.
