Do you need an internet connection to play PS3 online or is it built it?

The title says it all.Do i need an Internet connection so i can play online or do i just have to plug it into the TV and it will do it all on its own?

Yeah, it has the whole internetz built-in and it updates through magic. Also you don't need a tv, it projects the images right into your brain via bluetooth, but you have to connect it to your head with a USB cable first to sync it.

If I am not mistaken the electricity for the tv will be tapped from the ps3 right?

That means I can safely buy one for the next couple of months which I will be spending in a cabin in the forest without electricity.

the 360 and ps3 both run on hampsters, the ps3s is a new breed of hampster and runs out over a long time, the 360s hampster dies in up to 12 months of it running, also remeber to not put the hampster in a corner or tight entertainment rack, needs to breathe, if your hampster starts freezing, you know you got problems :P

You need a broadband internet connection and an ethernet cable or WiFi to connect to your router.

just plug your ether net from the back of yourr pc and put it in your ps3 or if you have a router your ps3 will use its wi fi and find your access point and do it all wirelessly.

Ok, that sounded like one of those tech support questions people are always laughing at.

You can not access the internet unless you have an actual connection. If I remember correctly, the NIC (Network Interface Card) is built into the system. You still need the cable and the net connection. Oh, when I say cable. Look up a CAT5E cable.

Everyone is so immature just help the poor kid out. And as for your question yes you do need an internet connection to play online. If you want it to "do it all on its own" then you need an internet connection with a router. With a router all you have to do is scan for a wireless connection. If you have more question you can just pm me and i wont make fun of you like the rest of the other people did.
