what the hell does it do?
i have wireless internet and it works fine on my psp. what would i need an extra piece of equipment to play a game for?
what a joke.
I to have a router and it works fine and the MHF2 game and it works fine, so will i really need the WIFI Max?Creecokoco
Yes, the game is local multiplayer only. Unless you have the wi-fi max.
You guys don't need that WiFi Max. You can use Kai which is copletely free. Look it up:
http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/
wifi max = hardware
xlink kai = software
you need both to play it online, as the software just tunnels the signals through your pc and thus, simulates ad hoc.
You can use another wifi stick if you want, but make sure it supports "promiscuous" mode (which almost none do).
The singleplayer of MHF2 is great, however, you will soon be wanting to play it with others and thats why I wouldnt advice you to buy it, since there are only like 10-20 people playing it on xlink kai at times.
Monster Hunter 2nd G, on the other hand, is played but over 700 people at any time. Only be aware that MH2G is on Japanese.

Foosey
For MHF1, there were about 60-120 people on at a time for the first year of release.
For MHF2,for the first few monthes, there were about 100 people, until it slowly diminished to a few people, hardly of which spoke english.
Just thought I'd point that out. Wifi Max wouldve been a good buy for MHF1 3 (Or was it 2..) years ago, but now, it's just a waste.
