Yesterday I was at my cousins house for xmas and I played Kane and Lynch 2 and I had fun with it. So I'm asking do any of you still go over to your friends house and play 2 player games? What splitscreen games do you enjoy playing the most with them? The reason I really liked it because there was interaction between the two characters, but most other games most likely won't have such interaction when a 2 player is involved?

Uncharted 3 has an offline coop as well, there is at least a bit interaction between the characters too.

Aside from that developers seem to give up more and more on it which is really a pity, I really like to do that too, just on christmas my brother and my cousin played a round of Burnout Paradise Party Mode where you can play with some more players too and it really was fun.

No and I wouldn't want my friend coming over to play games. My kids having their friends over to play games is one thing.

Yeah I do, its actually my preferred way to play multiplayer. The NHL games are always a hit. Uncharted 3 has a good mode. Dirt 3 is fun as well.

I usually play MW3 split-screen with my brother on survival mode if not I play Grand Turismo 5 split-screen at my friend's house, and it's heck of a lot of fun.

I don't mind playing MW3 split screen once in a while whether it's online or survival mode but I really enjoyed playing black ops zombies split screen tons of fun. If your looking for a more story mode game you can play I would reccomend borderlands

I'd like to throw this in:

I can understand that splitscreen support wasn't that big in PS1 / PS2 Era because the screen resolution was quite small and also the consoles had to cut down quite massivley some parts, may it have been graphical quality or size of a level for it to work in multiplayer, but now in PS3 day and age the PS3's resolution is awesome and the calculating power is as well, so multiplayer in splitscreen works very well, even if you have only half the screen for you, it STILL feels like a full screen for 1 player, at least for me.

That's mostly because the hd tvs now are bigger than they were back then, but i totally agree i have a gf to play with but most games are for one player or multiplayer online, that's an epic fail imo.

I saw WAY more split screen games on the PS1 and PS2 than I have on the PS3.

I have a friend who comes over sometimes to play splitscreen Borderlands. Also, the husband and I play Sengouku Basara: Samurai Heroes together. Most time the time it's just me playing a SP game.

Hell yes, all the time. Street Fighter, Borderlands, PSN games, etc.
