Now that that full games like SOCOM: Confrontation, and Warhawk are being made available to download from the PSN, do you prefer downloading full games, or going out and buying the game so you can have it on your shelf? I myself prefer owning a cold hard copy of the game, so that it bulks up the PS3 game section of my shelf, (and boxes are purdy), but what do you like?

I would prefer the disk version, but if there was a significant price difference then I may just download the game. Honestly though, even then I would probably just buy the disk version. I like to have the disk, case and instruction book, plus I enjoy going to the store and buying my copy. Also, if it turns out you don't like the game you cannot sell it/trade it in if you download it.

I don't know. I think i'd prefer disks because i'd be worried that my ps3 might suffer some sort of malfunction and i'd lose my games. Plus I buy all my games online so I don't really need to move much :P

For me it depends on the game, like if i really like it il get the disk, but if its a game that seems good but its not really my type, if its in download form it cold convince me, like im not a tekken fan, but that sweet deal of Tekken 5 DR was more than i could resist, but yeah i prefer the box

Same here, i'd love to DL warhawk, but i dont want something evil to happen and make me... I dont even know what happens, i'm guessing you can re-DL it atleast once more without buying it again, but after that what then? And in 6-7 years i'll be able to sell my PS3 for a high price with all the games, if they're on the HDD i wont beable to do that unless i give them my PSN account, and thats not an option...

depends on the size of the game. if the game is 1.5-2.0GB at most... then i'll download.

although i'm getting the BD version of Warhawk just to get the headset.

I like the demo download idea but for the full game I would rather have the hard copy in hand.

You cant trade a download in that's all I'll say. I remeber when SONY first announced the PS3 was coming and a buddy of mine told me that all games would be download only for it. I nearly had a heart attack.

I think it comes down to if I will have the ability to download the game again as I do with most of the online distribution system. Since the hard drive space is quite limited if majority of games are at least DVD sized, downloaded game would be quite pointless if you cannot redownload it, forcing purchas of new harddrive every 10 games or so, and not to mention the tedious duty of swapping out harddrive just to find the game you like. However, if it can be something similar to GamersGate or Steam where you can purge the game files and redownload them @ any place any time w/o system limitation, consider me sold.

If the DL speeds increased and the price was lower... download. I've got too much junk for a young guy that moves a lot. Any space I can save is WELCOME. And I've never sold back a game I've purchased.

I've kept almost every game I've had since 1989, so I will always buy the physical product to keep in my collection if possible.

If Warhawk(PSN) is $40 , then I will go for the disc to get the $20 bluetooth heaset. The box looks nice too. If Wahawk is $30 or less for the download I will just download it and use my wired socom headset. I like the idea of having a multiplayer game right there at any time. I will just download Socom if it is cheap and good.

well i want the game on disc, i mean whats the use of bluray when all they are gonna do is put it on downloadable, i can understand if you have like an external 350gig hdd, but seriously whats the point? what happens if the downloaded file gets corrupt??? do they keep it all on file so you can just download it again without paying for it?

If it's downloadable your can share it with a friend by logging on his PS3 and download on his PS3. so five guys with 10$ each can all play the same with a reduced cost. nice huh.

But for warhawk i'll get the hard disk version for the bluetooth device included.

how can it be so small? the two-and-a-half minute long heavenly sword demo was bigger than that. the darkness demo was twice as big as that

Downloads are great, and I'll take all I can get. But I just love having a nice collection of actual games in their cases to show off.

Most definitley the disc version its just a whole lot safer. I mean, if something happens to my harddrive or ps3 in general *knock on wood* my game would most likely be gone for a while. With the disc i am assured it is safe and it looks nice. Ifi wanted to takeit to a friends house, i have that option aswell and what not.

Disc boxed for me
