I don't mean the ps1 classic but I really want to see a final fantasy 7 game on the vita. Just like crisis core on the psp which was a great game. A remake of the original ff7 would be epic on the vita. I am craving a ff7 game right now and for the vita. Think it may happen?

I wasn't a fan of Crisis Core, or any FFVII spin-off other than Advent Children. Definitely think a FFVII Vita game is possible though.
The only Final fantasy games rumoured to be coming to PSvita are Final fantasy Type 0 which is also being released to PSP at the same time. Final Fantasy 11 the Playstation 2 MMO was also rumoured to be coming to PSvita. There was a remake of FFX rumoured to be coming to Psvita. Sigh these are just rumours at this point. sigh.... I'm beginning to lose hope.
However Final Fantasy 7 a HD remake or another game set in the same universe is not. I would love it if it did. I remember playing the original FF7 way back in 1997. With the then spouse. So a modern FF 7 game would be awesome for the PSvita.
Until then I will just have to have some faith Square Enix and Sony get something happening for the PSvita.

The Final Fantasy X remake was confirmed to be coming to Vita the day it was announced.
I remember reading that they would not want to make a FFVII remake until they get the whole original team together. Plus, the whole time frame around FFVII has been extensively covered, so there's not too much left to tell. It's not that I wouldn't like a Final Fantasy VII game, I just think there are plenty of other games worth revisiting. We've gotten a ton of VII stuff, and short of a full remake of the original, there's not much left to be done in that world.
Dude FFX HD Version is coming to the Vita/PS3 just like Metal Gear collection is coming out for them. But still I would love to see a hd version of ff7 for the vita/ps3. =D

Definitely think a FFVII Vita game is possible though.Sadly, given the Vita's current performance, I think a remake of FF7 would sooner come out for the PS3/360 than for the Vita. Whichever platform its released on first becomes a day one pre-order for me, though I really hope the Vita gets an exclusive version first before the rest.
Which reminds me, isn't there an old interview with Square stating why they haven't already went ahead with the PS1 remakes of FF7-FF9? They said something along the lines of it not being plausible because they had too much pre-rendered background scenes that wouldn't translate well into a remake within a reasonable timeframe using today's technology.
The main issue with buying the original is that PS1 classics don't presently work on the Vita. So that's out - for now, at least. Besides, people want a spinoff or remake of the original.
I would way prefer a remake in 3D of Final Fantasy VI ... the story was more interesting and there was a lot of neat idea, story telling and it wasn't just about one caracter, each of the ( close to 20 ) caracters had a moment to have their own story moment.
