Yup you can count on it. They were first afraid of CoD4 and now they are afraid of UT3. Next they will be afraid of Turok. I don't see the game coming out till March or April.
I don't think that they delayed it outta fear but rather to add the extra layer of polish. Some previews already stated it needed a little more polish and i'm glad it is getting it. The last preview on gamertv basically confirms that the game is basically done and will be gold once they are done with the testing etc. The delay also gives me time to play ut3 and orange box w/o worrying about my shooters eating time from one another
I don't think it will be much longer before this game comes out. For Haze to make a big splash I think it needs to release pretty soon because if they wait so long that Haze goes up against Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto, Killzone, Rainbow Six 2, Resistance 2, and any number of big name titles, the chances of it selling really well go down.
I think Haze is going to be a great game but it's understandable why they are being strategic with their release date. The latest hands on previews haven't been terribly positive either, so maybe they are taking their time to put out as good of a product as they can, which is good, but I would suggest they don't wait too much longer.
