I have a gut feeling they won't... but I think waiting 3 days to play online we deserve something for the waiting :P

Probably not, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did. Sony isn't exactly the type to admit that something is wrong and then try to make up for it, though with the recent string of outtages, they might just do it for the good publicity.
By not having it we're losing it.no, and they shouldnt
psn is free, we're not loosing anything by not having it

I doubt it but it should would be nice if they'd let us make and share dynamic themes.
You can..... http://www.ps3-themes.com/ I download some themes from here sometimes, directly from the web browser of my PS3.
Did Microsoft give a reward when Xbox live was down for 2 weeks? If they didnt even do it for a service you have to pay for then i dont see why sony would have to.
If it is down for a long time, then yes. What it is, I could'nt tell you. What would be really cool if they gave everybody a free month of Playstation Plus. It would be a good way to say "I'm sorry" and let everybody try it. Maybe it would get more people to sign up for it.
I have been thinking about signing up for a while now...
The only possible compensation I forsee is any paying subscriptions gets extended by however long PSN is down. It's also the only type of compensation that I think is fair, from a business point of view. Expecting a gift from a someone that just had a big problem sounds like a douche move because it is. Just because it's a company doesn't change expectations. Like I said the only gift we should get is not even really a gift; it would be what we are owed.

As long as it's not from Kevin Butler, count me in.
No-- as long as it's ONLY from Kevin Butler. At least it would get him to shut up for a while I guess. I think whether or not we'll get anything depends on how much longer PSN is out. I think that Sony isn't giving us an Estimated Time because they know that it's going to take a long time and don't want everyone else to know. If PSN isn't up by friday, we'll probably get a mini or something.I think discounts on PSN games would be nice. The fact that SONY isn't sharing that much information is disturbing. I called my credit card company to deny any transactions from SONY until this situation is resolved. I would suggest others do the same. Who knows what exactly is going on and how far this goes... Yea, they shut the servers down, but IF it was hacked, how much info. was stolen is an issue. Just because something is free, doesn't mean people can't complain. You spend a lot of money investing on a system that promises, if you buy their system, a better online service than its competition.
If credit card details were compromised we would know by now. It has been 4 days, nobody steals credit details then doesn't use them for 4 days. Also, Sony would have at least emailed the people whose details may have been compromised.I think discounts on PSN games would be nice.
