Do you think that 'Frostbite' is as 'Revolutionary' as EA has claimed?

I'm not impressed. Yeah, the tree's and stuff falling to the ground under artillery is pretty sweet, but thats where it ends for me. In the demo, I could should a roof or a wall will multiple grenades, and NOTHING. Know why? Cause all the friggin' places on a building that can be blown apart are PRE-RENDERED. Yeah, I had some fun with the demo, but I can't believe I fell fo one of EA's promises, I honestl believed that Frostbite would be worth something, but nope. I can't wait to pick this game up!! When it hit's the $20 section at Gamestop.

it was ok, though the physics were a little unbalanced. i wasn't as impressed with Frostbite as i was with Geomod back in the Red Faction days.. now THAT game was a damn revolution.

well you know EA, money first, quality later. all they care about is making a title that sounds appealing and.. well thats pretty much it. the rest is just an after thought.

LOL yeah true. but if they make it over the shoulder sort of like RE4 but faster paced & with a great cover/blind fire system, it could turn out pretty sweet.

Yeah, I trust the team. Hopefully it'll turn out the way Unreal Tournamet went into 3rd person with Unreal Championship.

why do people say EA its dice, and the frostbite was ok while you can blow up outside walls the structure of the building was normal its still the most or second most destructible game out crysis is most proabably better, but i only played it round a friend's house.

I must say I had a better feeling when I watched the frostbite videos. Well, the reason the walls are pre-rendered is because it's not dynamic. Anywhere you shoot with a grenade launcher on a squared wall, the whole piece will be blown up regardless of where in that area you hit. And when it comes down to trees... If you shoot anywhere on a tree except the bottom, middle and top, the tree will "blow" in one of those locations. Hope BF3 will deliver dynamic destruction

Consoles can only do so much due to hardware limitations.

You also have to remember that destructible environments is in the beginning stage. You can't expect to be able to blow up the entire world this early. Maybe towards the end of this generation there will be fully destructible environments.

I saw a video where he knifed a wall and it exploded. I think its more scripted than we think,
