Although Resistance is the only shooter I've played on the PS3, I found it to be quite enjoyable. PS2 wise, I never played too many shooters, but the experience wasn't anything special.

Well, graphics are important in an FPS, so PS3 definitely.

The only thing that would be different for gameplay between the two is the PS3 can support more things on screen at once and the devs have the option to use Sixaxis on the PS3.

I played many shooting games on the ps2 that was better than all the shooting games that out right now on ps3 so I'll say right now ps2 but thats really because there arent a lot of shooting games for ps3.

xbox was best for shooters last gen, id say it probarbly is this gen, but only because the game pad feels more comfortable to me than the ps3 controller

instead of your fingers resting on the top, the 360 pad dips in which keeps your fingers gripped inside the stick and the triggers are actual triggers rather than press down buttons.

im not a fanboy- but im just saying i prefer my 360 ove my ps3 for fps gameplay.

The Sixaxis and DS3 have more accurate sticks so movements are smoother and more accurate, this helps alot.

Yes the controls are way tighter, plus the Sixaxis analog sticks are better than the dualshock's.
