I use my ps3 for all forms of media. Got it hooked to my surround system so I can use it for games, music and movies.

I mainly use it for games though.

Both.

The Blu-Ray support really didn't factor into my decision to buy a PS3. At the time HDDVD was still around, and I decided to wait for one format to come out on top before I started building my blu-ray library. I thought i would have to wait about a year, ended up waiting about a month before toshiba called it quits.

Both. The Playstation 3 is a good up converter for DVD's and of course it plays Blu-Ray's perfectly

No, I didn't buy a ps3 for blu-rays, I bought it mostly for games but the media functions such as Blu-Ray really helped in my decision. I watch DVDs and Blu-Rays quite often on it as it's really the best player on the market for both. Even with regular dvds, it upscales them much better than my upscaling dvd player so it has pretty much become the default media player in my house. I don't own or watch too many blu-rays, but i'm starting to get into them.

Our DVD player broke about a week before my roommate decided to get a PS3. So we definitely use the ps3 for movie-ing. At this point just DVDs. But I suppose we might acquire some blu-rays at some point... or at least rent some. But it isn't really a priority of mine.

I have about 10 BR movies, I've converted most of my dvd's over to mp4's and stored them on my ps3's HD.

I watch both. You should do a poll with these type of questions but meh to each his own. Yeah, if you haven't watched movies on Blu-ray yet, you're missing out big time. Although I must recommend that you have an HD-TV that supports 1080p & your settings are correct on you PS3 with a good sound system. Press play & enjoy!

I watch a ton of BDs. When you have an HD projector, the difference is so substantial that it is hard to go back to upconverted DVDs. Some upconverted DVDs actually make me cringe on the big screen.

Neither at the moment. I don't own any blu-ray movie discs and I already have a 5 disc DVD changer that's still in use. I may eventually use it for blu-ray but I want to get an HDTV before that happens.

I absolutely refuse to buy blu-ray movies until the cost of them at least matches what DVDs are now. And I see no need to wear my PS3 out on DVDs when I have other players (especially when these aren't as noisy while their on).

The PS2 was my DVD player, and now my PS3 will take its place. Its not that I watch a lot of movies on it though. But its a nice feature, since I dont have to be unplugging video cables all the time.

I play the DVDs I already own and then buy new movies on Blu-Ray, but I don't plan on replacing any DVDs with Blu-Ray (except for the Spider-Man Trilogy). Unless I give them away as gifts..then I'll replace them :D

Occaisonaly DVDs. I haven't been able to figure out why the price of Blu-Ray movies are so high so I don't ever buy any.

I just rent my Blu-ray movies at Netflix. It's a lot cheaper than buying them or renting them at a normal rental store (like blockbuster or Hollywood video). I also watch normal dvds on it to though.

On older dvds I have to change the resolution to 480p and change my TV to zoom mode because it looks stretched if I don't do so. It also looks like there is screen tearing too. Does anyone else have the same problem? :?

I don't have a dvd player anymore, things always break down on me :p So I use my ps3 for dvd's and sometimes for blu-rays, but I don't buy a lot of blu-rays, too expensive. And I also use the ps3 to watch my downloaded tv series on my tv (media sharing using windows media player)

I have 11 BR movies, that rock in my HDTV and Home Theather!! Mainly BR movies.

The regular DVD´s get a pretty well upscale also. I have a primary DVD player for the common movies, but when I´m for the cool movies! I use my 20Gb PS3, and also all the possible media! :)
