Does a ps2's POWER CORD work for the ps3?

I found a topic that asked the same thing except including the a/v cords. The only thinh answered was the a/v cords, not the power cords. So, does it work?

@vashvalentine: Depends on which PS2 and which PS3 the power cord is coming from/going to. The AV cables are compatible from PS1 up until the PS3 Super Slim.

Regular Desktop Computer Power Cord -> Fat PS3

Fat PS2 Power Cord -> PS3 (Super) Slim

Slim PS2 Power Cord -> PSP (MAYBE!)

@Joseph881: you know, you actually just helped me TONS ^_^ !!!!!!! I was about to go somewhere super expensive looking for the power cord but I have like 4 or 5 pc cords that I might be able to use, lol. Thank you for the I do and have a great day/night

Can't you just use the one that comes with the PS3?

Okay. I know it's spam thread but some numpty decided to give advise.

The PS2 cable, not plugged into the box will fit fucking everthing with the same shaped hole.
