Buy a USB cable. That is your only option to make it "wired". It doesn't make sense when you don't want it "connected 24/7", yet you're asking for one to be connected. It's not hard to figure out...

Connected as in RECHARGING. Even if the battery is 100% full, there is still a chemical interaction with the electrons and I don't that happening. As mentionned above, eventually my controller would lose it's potential to recharge because of this.
Please answer the question instead of pointing out the obvious.

I have pointed out the obvious. There is no other way around it. You might get something like one of those PS2/USB conversion cords. But you wouldn't get any sixaxis control. Other than that, you don't have an option. Unless you're well versed in reverse engineering. In that case, you could just "make it yourself".
Everyone's basically told you "no" already. MAILER_DAEMON
Well, if you hate wireless then is any potential loss of battery capacity a big deal? There may be some third party wired solutions out there, but like any third party controller they're probably garbage. Plus, I'm sure the Dual Shock 3 has some sort of circuitry built in to stop the controller from overcharging, so I doubt keeping it hooked up 24/7 would have any huge impact on battery life. No more than charging and discharging it constantly, at least.DJ_Lae
Go tell that to Aple who let my iPod lose it's recharging potential.

Thats definitly a picture of a PS2 controller though (analog button instead of PS button)

Why would he tell that to Apple? He states that the "Dualshock 3 [probably] has some sort of circuititry built in to stop the controller from overcharging." Apple doesn't care about how many times the battery recharges, they just want you to go back in and be forced to buy a new iPod.
Also, he has a great point. Why would the battery life matter if you have it plugged in 24/7? I'm confused on what you want. You tell us you want a wired controller and we tell you that you can plug it in with a USB, and you tell us no because you'd have it plugged in charging? Well I'm pretty sure if you used a wired controller it too would have to be plugged in for anything to happen. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't matter if the controller won't hold charge anymore since you want it WIRED AND PLUGGED IN.
Oh and about that PS controller that you said you found when "Google" helped you, it just looks like a PS2 controller that is compatible with USB systems. The page states that it has no "PS Button", and I'm guessing there is no Sixaxis either.

Well, due to the pervious posts. He doesn't seem "on the level" intellectually. This thread is a complete bomb.
