does any one use comcast cable? I need help please T_T

see we switch to comcast becuase of a better deal. and thats all fine but i cant conect my ps3 to the net. it should let me but it does not. Before I was useing dsl for verizon witch worked fine. and comcast is a hell of a lot faster on my computer. so I know its good but I just cant conect.

I tried changeing the settings, turning every thing off and connecting the ethernet cable and so on. nothing it always times out. can any one help me please?

if ur using a router that may be the problem, plug it directly into the modem, that should always work. then if that works u know what the proble would be.

ok how about this if u hav ur ps3 plugged into a modem plug into a router if u hav it plugged into a router trya modem and if that doesnt work message me

I have a 50 foot cable. I have it hooked up it just wont detect.

reset your modem.. do a power cycle while it's still connected. make sure your ps3 settings at to wired connection. I've got comcast and I use it two floors above my router via wireless and it works fine.

You need a router, I guess the PS3 can't detect the internet straight from the modem.  I myself use comcast internet over a wireless router and it works great!

modem would work fine if this damn modem box was not set with a battery. I unplug it and it stays on for the phone -_-. so it wont reset. ill just have to get a motem to do it. its easyer to work wwith.

u have ur ps3 set for cable and not dsl right? cuz that could be it?

no it was on dsl and worked fine. I switch to comcast high speed network. and got a cable and modem box. but it does not have a bukit in router. It works for the network and my phone.
