its a mess on the ps3 i have itNSR34GTRAgreed. It's a great game but after playing the PC version I don't even want to look at the console ones. I'm not saying the PS3 version is crap or sucks but the PC version is obviously better, performance-wise. You don't even need a good comp to play it. If there wasn't a big difference between the two and if you needed a high end PC to play it then I wouldn't have mentioned it as that would lead to System Wars territory but that's not the case. If your comp happens to be like 10 years old then by all means get the PS3 version, it's not bad...just disappointing.
Yes, you can. It's not as good as the 360 port but it's still plenty playable.
neither port holds a candle to the pc version though. Orange Box is a better experience on my crappy 1.5 ghz core 2/8600m GS laptop than on either console.
There's nothing wrong with the PS3 version of the Orange Box. I have it, and didn't experience a single problem that is so often complained about, aside from the SLIGHTLY too frequent load screens. All that crap about "its a bad port blah blah blah" really should stop. The 360 version was garbage aswell before the update. raven_squad
indeed the PS3 version plays much better online! great value for money too!
Don't listen to the people telling you that the PS3 version is crap, because it isn't. It isn't the best version, that's not disputable, but that's not what you asked.
The loading times can be long, and you'll get the occasional erratic frame rate, but that's about it. Those issues are certainly not enough to ruin the experience.
The Half-Life games alone are good enough to justify the purchase, especially for the price you can get it at these days.
