Yup, I do. I was first in line at Target and spent 3 days and 2 nights waiting for it. Totally great time and totally worth it.
Edit: I thought it looked amazing and I just had to have it, not to mention I wanted to experience waiting for the system outside of a store :)
yeh i got mine launch day in austalia had one pre-ordered just walked in and grabbed it no line hahah but it had been out for a lil while in the US and stuff before we got itBiggieD54
haha yeah
mine isn't from launch day but it was one of the first 500,000 PS3's cause mine came with Talladega Nights. i did go to a best buy and start to wait for one but the guy said they were only getting 26 ps3s...20 60 gb and 6 20 gb...i was number 32...so i left and went around the area looking for other places where i could test my luck...none was found...i ended up getting mine sometime in february...after much calling to area Best Buys...im glad i got a "launch day" ps3 because looking back now, its the best sku out there...had the real E.E., memory card slots, good sized HDD, all four USB ports...and the BC was big for me because i have all of the MGS's and i enjoy playing them often and i sold my PS2 for money towards a PS3...eric_bauer89oooh i have one of the first 500,000 too. i was kinda surprised cause i got mine on christmas that year.
I was walking on Wal-Mart on Dec 23rd 2006, and I saw an employee with 2 PS3s (one 60GB and one 20GB), I asked him "WTF is this?" he told me somebody returned, I said "the 60GB is mine".
That PS3 lasted until January 2008 then the Bluray reader died, but sony replaced with a new 60GB PS3 (Manufactured on February 2007)
Within the early morning hours of November 17, 2006, I got out of bed and went to my local Best Buy, Circuit City, EB Games, Funcoland, CompUSA, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club (my workplace), Target, and Toys R Us. I had no reserves and no luck. After an entire month of making "consolation purchases" and literally dozens of phone calls to each of those retailers, I finally got lucky on evening (7:39PM) of December 20, 2006 at EB Games/GameStop. I casually walked in and asked if they had any PS3s and the guy said, "Yes, we do". I said, "No you don't... you probably have a 20 gig... you have a 60 gig ... really?". I was so excited. I was screaming like I won the mega lottery. 658 dollars later, I ran to my car and drove home like a deranged lunatic, talking to himself and saying, "Holy S**T, I can't believe I have one"... blah, blah, blah. It was an amazing feeling.:DAlex4
Was the extra 58 dollars just sales tax? Cuz jesus thats just rape.

What? Didn't you mean 648? 8.25%?
I got my PS3 on European launch day, 23rd march 2007. I had prepared this by buying a new HD ready TV and 3 games (*** Motorstorm, USA Marvel ultimate alliance and Genji 2). I had a PS1 and PS2, and always had Sony cellular phones.
I use the PS3 everyday, either stream movies/TV series from PC, play PS1/2/3 games or watch Blu-ray movies.
