Does anyone actually *like* the appearance of the PS3 Slim?

I know I shouldn't be too concerned about the way the console looks, but I honestly despise the look of the Slim so much that I am actually almost tempted in to buying a used Fat PS3 and just upgrading the hdd. I don't even care about backwards compatibility either. I know all the skus play the same games and have (mostly) the same features and whatnot, but wow... I dunno. I'm getting a PS3 next payday (2 weeks). What do you guys think? I know I am being incredibly petty and dumb and such. Do you guys care about your consoles' looks?

I think its pretty great looking. To me the best looking system out.

I think it looks better than the original.

not really xbox slim looks much better,but the ps3 IS BETTER

I love the way both of them looks but I think I like the slim more. I love the matte finish, along with the glossy sides and the buttons light up. Very sexy.

It's ok not the best looking version they could have made but i don't really care how it looks just as long as it's working i'm happy.

As a xbox and ps3 slim owner, i can certainly say the ps3 slims looks far superior. and why are you going to judge of buying the console cause of its look, and if you havent got enough money, then a fat ps3 is sufficent most certainly many people have had theres from the beginning, but seeming youve come at a time where you can purchase a better version, energy wise and hardware wise.
i would drop the apperance concern and put in mind that its a smaller machine, quieter machine, slim comes with 120gb minimum, less likely to YLOD, ok its a bit more dosh but might benefit you in the long run with fresh warranty and peace of mind, and you never know the apperance might grow on you :)

I think it looks really cool. I don't understand complaints about how electronic devices look. DVD players and stereo receivers have been utterly plain rectangular boxes for years and nobody ever thought to mention it.

I like the phat design better, but slim looks ok too.

I really like the design despite what everyone else may say. I think it looks pretty sleek, and am glad they ditched the spiderman font for the PS3 logo.

Yes, I *like* the appearance. Modest. Understated. Almost invisible. Blends in.

The Phat is more showy, therefore more appropriate for braggarts. ;)

A pure glossy white slim would be better. I'm hoping to send mine into Colorware soon.

im obsessive-compulsive, it will drive me nuts if i owned the shiny phat PS3 version, i really prefer the PS3 Slim design, that is why i bought it. I just wish i could get my hands on the Blue PS3 Slim bundled on Gran Turismo 5.

I don't like the bump in the middle of it, i normally leave whatever game case I am playing on top of console and it falls off and makes me cry :.(

I like it SO much more than the fatty. It's honestly is one of the reasons I actually waited for the Slim before buying a PS3.PetJel

who cares how it looks? better than getting the fat one, its freakin huge and the plastic material gets damaged easily.

plus i dont love how the slim looks, but still it does look pretty good and a lot neater than the fat one.

do whatever you want, if i were you i would by the silm.

Yes. It's actually slim, for one. And no glossy finish so you don't get fingerprints on it.

It looks ok but the new xbox looks better. In my opinion of coarse....

It's not riddled with vent holes nor does the casing get covered in dust, smears, fingerprints, etc. It's only lacking a rotatable PS logo.
