move the stupid buddy message display from the top right to the top middle. It seems everytime I am playing Resistance or Warhawk and I look at my map/HUD to see if an enemy is near, one of the 50 people on my buddy list signs on or off or leaves a message, thus blocking my view for a precious couple of seconds, at which point the enemy kills me from behind. I think the top middle of the screen would be a better choice, as few games display important information there. What do you guys think?
i need to know when my friends are on/off or left me a message. Until the update to see the XMB ingame is out, its too much of a hassle to exit a game entirely just to see if my friend is ready to game.
the top middle would just suck.....and btw why don't u just turn the pop-up off.....an option to change the position of the pop-up could be nice but useless....a transparent background would be more likely
The Xbox 360 has it's popups semi smart in that be it programmed or automatic the popup is usually moved somewhere so it obscures as little HUD as possible. The PS3 should have no problem doing this later on.

it certainly has the option, but I can tell you from experience that they often leave the pop up message in the worst place possible.
