Actually it's "yuki." "Suno" would be Engrish (language spoken by Japanese people who think they can speak English) for snow.
Back to topic: Names are just identificational words that we assign to things/persons. There might be usual ones like Sabrina or Steve but there's no law against calling your child Onion or Sausage. And while we usually refrain from giving such names to our real children we prefer giving more unique names to fictional persons we create.
