I always see people say negative things about the PSP Go like "PSP 3000 WHICH IS MORE SUPERIOR>>>>>>>>>>>PSP Go" or "psp go (and 3000) can't play games." Why?

Well, I was worried how the Go would be but I still bought one and now I love it. The sliding mechanism works well and it feels tight and smooth. I would say I hear about 90% of people that bought a Go end up loving it. I think a lot of people that talk bad about it is because it doesn't play UMDs and the price is a little steep and rightfully so. I'm just tired of reading about how much the Go sucks coming from people that have never owned or even held one. I could go on about reasons why I like the Go but there are at least 10 threads on here that I have already explained.
People hate it because it's price. Not just the price of the system, but also the price of the games on the PSN. Plus all the games aren't even on PSN.
So why would someone pay more money for a system that costs more and has less. Just seems so dumb.
I do. I keep trying to get rid of my PSP slim.
I think the PSP Go is great. They just gotta fix that PSN man..

Because the stupid reason why I would like to be technically at the highest advancement anything is at and it feels so good... not just the feeling I get from having the Go but the feel of the system itself, after owning it for a while, it is so well made, it fits my hands and my pockets perfectly without the quality decrease that some reviews initially stated. The feel of the Go is just as quality of that of the 1000 that lasted me from it's initial launch until the PSP Go's launch. This comes from me that actually OWNS a PSP Go.
I like my psp go. Its a great handheld. I like the nice amount of internal storage and great portability. Sure it doesent take umds but why I i buy a new system to play old games? Did I forget to mention that it saves and pauses automatically right before it rans out of battery?
i hate psp go. i got one one a while ago and it takes soooooo loooooong to download a game. it sucked so hard i swapped it for a psp 3002M0nk3yGamer1001
Not the PSP's fault, it's your internet connection :P
I love my go. Its very portable and has great function. I dont mind waiting a few minutes to download a game, i read or go outside and play ball. The storage is great for music and videos also, and the bluetooth is the most useful thing for a handheld since the disc drive.

Love it.. the portability of it is awesome.. which means I get to play Resident Evil 2 at waiting rooms and at ihop, like today.. XD
i don't think you made this thread to get an honest opinion, rather to just point out your preference for the psp go. if you search a little bit in this same forum, you will know the exact reasons why people hate the go or love it just like you stated in your original post. some will hate it some will love it, and no matter what you say, it won't hardly make a difference on people's opinions about the psp go. some prefer portability and smaller size, some prefer not getting ripped off for their money. my last sentence will give you an idea which side i am leaning towards of course. i really don't think another thread was necessary, but hey, i hope you find your "answer".I always see people say negative things about the PSP Go like "PSP 3000 WHICH IS MORE SUPERIOR>>>>>>>>>>>PSP Go" or "psp go (and 3000) can't play games." I love the GO. Just got one this week. I had a 3000 for awhile but wanted the GO for the size and dd factor. The system is pretty good imo. I think price is the main issue holding it back though. Once prices start steadily dropping I think alot more people will give the system a chance.
Probably more along the lines of the price of the console itself. Though it's usually the people who already own a prior model that complain about the device, (or some just follow majority rules before even giving it a chance.) I've had the thing since Christmas, and I can say for sure that this is my most favorite remake (or re-imagining) of the system yet! And I'm someone who's played every addition at some point or another. The Go just feels more slick, more portable friendly, and above all: convenient, (I can actually manage to fit the thing in my pocket with little trouble and WITH space to breath.)
Conclusion: It goes where I go. And that's everywhere. So everywhere, for me, has truly gotten better! ;)

LOL 1.5mbps is pretty slow too ya know. I am used to cable, so I wouldnt want to wait near an hour to download a psp game (many times less than 1gb) . I can drive to a store and get a handfull of USED umd games and spend way less money, and probably do that in less time than it takes me to download a game or 2. i like to download demos, but buying games on the psn is just too expensive. If i had a slow internet connection I would definately not even consider the go. I've tried out the go at best buy, and i was not impressed. the lack of umd drive, smaller screen, more expensive, and the buttons are akwardly placed and just dont feel as good. I think it'll be discounted greatly soon. while the psp2 might not have a umd drive, it will be built better than the pspgo.
i've had a psp go for a while now and i think it's great! it fits into my pocket without bulging like the previous psps. it looks like a regular sliding phone from distance so it looks like im texting when im actually playing games. i can actually take all my games with me without having to carry all those umds. i dont have to worry about games breaking because they're downloaded(UMDs break EASILY). there's ALOT of storage space so i can put tons of videos and games on it.
it sucks i cant play my umd games, but other than that i've had no problems at all and i carry it in my pocket everywhere i go.

You tried it at best buy where it is bolted to fixture that surrounds the whole device. I tried it at best buy before I got a PSP Go and I thought it sucked as well but now I have the Go and the button layout is better than any other model IMO.
Did you mean discounted as in the price will drop soon? Because that will happen greatly soon, I'm sure, I just don't think they will discontinue the PSP Go as they are trying to get a complete hold of their whole market with the PSN. It will be after the next UMDless PSP is released, just as the PSP1000 was discontinued when the PSP2000 was released, the reason? They probably have enough inventory of PSP Gos to last for a while.
