Does anyone play socom confrontation anymore?

I almost bought it at gamestop today, I saw a sticker with the price of 14.99, but wasnt sure if it was worth my money haha.

that game sucks

I know things have changed a LOT since lastgen, BUT its kind of sad that SOCOM isnt the BEAST it was on the PS2. It was the BIG game everyone played online back then. Even had competitions with people like they did Quake. It was the game to play online lastgen.

I guess things just changed far too much this gen and it is not quite the FORCE it was then..

Its a Cult Classic game.....Most rooms everyone knows everyone and have been playing since socom 1............. 5-7 years ago.

Its fun , takes a lot of skill, cause most people play NO RESPAWN which the newer generation cannot comprehend,,,,So its not run around and shoot as many people as you can until you get shot in the back and repeat 100x in COD....

Do they? Of course, A lot of people play the game. I too hated the game when it was first released, it was REAL Bad. Now it is a solid shooter. If you are a Respawn noob then dont buy it, it requires the player to actually think.The game is for Professionals no joke.

bump..... Just got this game in the mail today from Gamefly and it sucks, been playing Mag, Bad Company 2 lately, and visually this game isnt better then a ps2 game. Controls suck. since the game requires you to really aim placeing the scope on the up on the dpad is dumb. most games I played tended to end up people running around in a circle till someone got hit.

What really sucked was the lenght it took to install the game and install the updates.

I think if you've played any of the older SOCOM games you will be dissapointed. At least that's how I felt.

Personally, I'd say it's worth checking out though.
