Just wondering, I'm about to get a ps3 soon and one of the main reasons why I want a PS3 is because it can let me go on the internet right in the comfort of my on room.

you dont have a pc in your room? i guess if i DIDNT have a pc in my room, i might use the ps3 for internet use, but so far i havent .

You don't know the half of it. Everytime there is something wrong with the family computer it's all blamed on me cause I'm the one who is on the computer most of the time. All I want is to download whatever it is I want without the worries of slowing down the computer and having the whole family pissed off at me
It's good on my 65" TV cause I can read stuff really easily and you can browse Wallpaper for it and the save it with triangle button and then set it. But the bad thing is it's very limited because most things on the web are made for windows.

What exactly are you downloading anyway? you could just install a good firewall to protect from nasty viruses that loom around certain websites

same here....i jsut switch chanels on the screen..from pc to ps3...no point is ps3 internet for me...plus not much options on ps3 internet
I use my ps3 to browse the net all the time, especially gamespot. The only issues I have with it are Flash and the likes... =/ I can't watch anything that is using a flash player ; ; and you are limited to how much you can type in a window like I'm typing into now XD you get about.....well enough characters...but sometimes I pushed it to the limit and had to make a second part. If they updated it a little it would be perfect. As far as the speed, for the convienence of having it right there in my friends garage XD It's fast enough for me. I've been watching scrubs on youtube recently though XD so it's nice on an HDTV.
Its great having mates over with a few beers and watching youtube vids on my 42 lcd,you can even make them fullscreen. Its handy for google also,every site ive been on works fine apart from some vid and flash content,sony are working on obtaining licences for more codecs. www.alloftv.net or .com is agreat place for free TV! check out all the latest shows direct to your WS. Make sure to bookmark google then you never need enter another www. posting from ps3 now sitting on my ass with a cup of tea and a few choc chip cookies ahhhhhh.

Yea I used it two days ago to write my review on Virtua Fighter 5, and man it was like texting on a cell phone that has a keyboard, hard but after awhile, you get used to it(the typing with the controller that is) :D
