Are you all using mics? If so, unplug them. I know it sounds stupid but I was on another website and people said if you unplug your headset, it'll stop the freezing. I used to have major freezing issues( atleast every 2min), but since I disconnected my headset I haven't had any issues. Choco_Taco
Personally, I don't have a mic. I hope your advice is going to be useful for those who have one though.
I hope I have fix my issue. I fund this page http://support.electronicarts.co.uk/cgi-bin/eauk_new.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=19350&p_created=1204654381&p_sid=bfv_VXHj&p_topview=1 which seem almost completed about this issue... I had turn off the BD 1080p 24Hz Output(HDMI) option... i'm crossing my finger actually...tassezvousThat is one of a number of things that can happen when trying to force games above the native resolution. Also if media shareing in on in the PS3 XMB menu can cause problems. Then another problem could be the servers or the NAT connection (NAT3 can cause problems with mics while NAT2 doesn't have problems with mics). There are other things that can cause problems.
Well I havn't played since the 3.0 firmware update but it never froze, now Mercenaries 2 that's a whole nother story. It really shouldn't surprise anyone that an EA game doesn't run smooth and kinda reinforces the rumors of poor code by EA preventing cross game chat update, oh well. You could try deleting your install and reinstall to see if that helps it any.
ugh yeah, this game started freezing on me each time i played... ive been off of it since half way through the summer. A shame too, I went to fully rank up, i was really enjoying this game. Here's to hoping they support the servers in the next game (lilbigplanet has a similar issue with me, restarts my ps3 each time i try to exit - and yeah i know you need to wait until the harddrive is not running, but it's alllllways running..)
