I was pretty surprised when EGM sat down for an interview with Jack Tretton & then basically blindsided him with a barrage of questions that were all basically "Why does the PS3 suck so bad". Then they put a picture of the the PS3 on the cover with tomatoes splattered all over it. I bet JT wouldn't have done that interview with them if he had any idea that is how it was going to go, (they even went so far as to print pictures of him looking pretty pissed/somber).

But at the same time, I don't think that makes EGM biased, & their comment about Assassin's Creed really isn't slamming the PS3, but I think the way they blindsided JT was BS.

I'm a big EGM fan and will continue to read the magazine however it seems they do not like the PS3. In the latest issue on page 62 uner the Story/Settings sectionof the Assassin's Creed article they totally take a shot at sony w/the following sentence. "It's official: The sci-fi "twist" is the second worst kept secret associated w/Assassin's Creed (the first being its so-called PS3 exclusivity)". I know the PS3 has lots of hater who want to see it struggle but this is really getting out of control w/these publications and media outlets. Anyways just wondering if anyone else has noticed all the shots being taken at Sony and do comments like this affect your decisions on purchasing games, consoles, etc, etc????ajthelegend

Never noticed it, you're overreacting. If you want to look at possible bias, look no further than the top ofGameSpot's front page, which in the last week has had 3 stories about Sony's Entertainments"huge financial losses" because of the PS3, and a haphazard (at best) review of one of their first AAA exclusive games. EGM is, and always has been very credible and unbiased. You can see this when they run a four-page ad on a game, then give it an average score of 4.5 in the review section, 2 pages later.

It was not really a shot a ps3, it was another poorely kept secret involes with ass creed.

A shot would be them saying no point of buying this game for ps3 as ps3 sucks, I would hardly call that a shot.

Am a ps3 fan and gs ratchet scor didnt bother me, gs article to do with bad news dont bother(they have to report the news good or bad) infact none of these so called "sony haters" bother me as i dont see any of them as sony haters, theres just a load of ps3 fangirls looking for excuses as to why ps3 is not on top.

EGM and 1up are a great sites and mags, i have heard time and time again that gs is biased,1up is biased and ign are biased, if people really thin that why not head over to PSU or ps3fanboy they will tell you what you want to hear.

that's a common theme in the industry. Unless sony gets rid of this 'ps3 sucks' meme going on in the media, it's never going to get anywhere. needs to improve its PR and marketing overall.

kind of like when the 1UP Yours crew blasted Sony for having a developer conference on degrating any gameplay experience when optimizing a game for both people with HDDs and people without HDDs. wait... :|

(if it isnt obvious... i'm being sarcastic, and the 1UP crew cracked on MS doing this a couple of months ago).

EGM doesnt hate the PS3 in the way some fanboys in this thread are claiming them to do. like real people... each individual person likes some games more than others... and yes, some of those games are probably only on the 360. but it also goes the other way around. some of the EGM editors favor some games over others, with those games only being on the PS console.
