Does Europe get the MGO beta without having to preorder

Gamespot news says that Europe is getting the beta in the next PS Store update, but we havent seen anything of the special pre-order pack (DVD n that) so none of us has any special code to get in.

does this mean that we are able to freely download the beta and play it? I sure hope so
