Does gamespot favor XBOX>Playstation

Well I've noticed in the past that gamespot favored N64 over PS1 by underrating its games Tomb Raider II 5.7, Metal Gear Solid 8.5 ( they said it could be beaten in 3 hours or less hmmm even on easy I would have to say its not possible), and Syphon Filter scored higher then MGS?! Metal Gear Solid was a much better game then Syphon Filter in every way. Spyro The Dragon only a 8.3 when it should of scored a 8.8 at least while The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time got a 10. Killzone got a 6.9 when it was an above-average game and was fun. Grand Turismo 4 getting a 8.9 while it is a far superior game to Forza and that scored a 9.2. A recent example is Full Auto on the 360 got a 6.5 on the PS3 Full Auto 2 improved its framrate and graphics and got a 5.7!:twisted:

I bet Killzone 2 will also be underrated at like a 6 or 7 while Halo 3 and Gears of War 2, Legend of Zelda all score 9-10's.

Oh yeah by the way there are plenty more unfair ratings that I did not mind posting. 

Gamespot at this point really just favors Xbox. They rate Playstation, PC, and Nintendo games tough and fairly.... but are more than willing to give inflated scores to anything with shiny graphics and online multiplayer on Xbox. Farcry was 9.2 on PC and came over a year later to Xbox and was a much worse game.... yet the same rating of 9.2. PDZ getting 9.0 was a complete joke when Resistance gets 8.8. Gears at 9.6 is way too high and suggests it's as good as Halo or GTA.... when in reality it is pretty mediocre looking past the graphics (especially the online mode). Lazy_Boy88

Well to be fair....Farcry for the PC and for the Xbox were two different games.  So that comparison is thrown out the window.

While PDZ IMO did not deserve a 9, Gears is a great game and deserves its score but, too many glitches for player matches. But really this is not the best place to discuss this. Read the sticky on it.

When the next games come out for PS3, including all of the exclusives which you should know all about, the PS3 will have better games and show that it's and even better system than the 360.

When the PS3 is winning, and that can't happen soon enough, with good games and a solid line of great games, along with some amazing graphics and other features that utliize the power of the Playstation 3, (HOME would be a premium example) then, they will finally see that the PS3 is better and will praise it over the 360. To me, the soon for this to happen, if it even does, the better for all of us as PlayStation 3 fans and gaming fans in general. And, they need to compare the 360 at 6 months (or whatever number of months the PS3 has been out) since the PS3 is at 6 months. It wasn't nearly as strong, and the game library surly wasn't strong at all. Maybe they've got their heads up their rearends too far to realize that the PS3 is actually of course better.

i just looked at the old  360 reviews at gamespot. They scored 20 games  8.0 or higher in the first 7 months of release. However, ps3 has 16 games with ratings of 8.0 or higher. Additionally, 12 of those 16 games were also released on the 360. My point is, i do not believe the 360 had a weaker launch. In fact, it probably was stronger.

they do. just look at the ridiculously high for no reason reviews on the Xbox and 360 then look at the PS2 and PS3. it's obvious that they favor Microsoft. they proved this theory for me when they gave Oblivion on the PS3 a 9.5. the PS3 Oblivion has already been confirmed to have wayyyyyy less load times + better graphics than the 360 version. go read the video review on gametrailers.com. they even had screenshot comparisons to prove it. doesn't matter how much gamespot denies it, they're lying to us and to themselves. the below link is proof that the PS3 version of Oblivion runs much better on the PS3 than it does on the 360. and they proved their 360 fanboyism as soon as they gave Gears of War, a killswitch clone with better graphics, a 9.6.
