They both look great on Standard def TVs, but having a nice 1080p tv and a sound system make the experience much more rewarding IMO.

Yes you should still get them. They are great games at least MGS4 is. I have not played F3. As for HD, it is really great, but it is really an added bonus if you have the TV for it. You will be fine though.

If you're not going to buy a game because you don't have a HDTV then you might as well not own a PS3... It will still look good on a SDTV, no worries...

Yes you should, thes game look good in standard set, when you get HD that will add the the replay value of your games before you got HD.

There is no excuse to miss out on MGS4 or really any game that youre excited to play just because you dont have an HDTV. Yes it will be significantly better in full HD and surround sound but MGS4's story and gameplay (which is the best around) wont suffer at all. Get it.

You really should use that money to get yourself a High Definition television. Those types of games were designed to be played in HD, it would ruin the experience otherwise.

Does it make a difference, yes but it depends. I have a Wii too and "bad graphics" is the last thing on my mind, but with the PS3 advertising it so much, it usually makes a difference in a person's mind. But any game that has a great story and awesome gameplay to go with it is definitely worth buying, no matter how it looks. So i say buy them. HD tvs are going down in price so there will be more deals later on.

Both games will still look good. But honestly, once you go HD you can NEVER go back to SD. But if you've never experienced HD for more than a week you should be okay. But I played COD:WAW on my SD the other day and I just turned off my PS3 lol. But yeah buy them cuz they're both awesome games!

are you really going to let HD stop you from playing an amazing game (or any game really)? i could understand if it made a dramatic difference like ps1 to ps3 graphics. . .
