Can usually get some incredible deals on used games from different sites on the internet. I've gotten many fairly new PS3 for $20-$30 that way. Rarely have a bad experience. Be sure to buy from someone that has a decent sellers rating though. There are scammers everywhere if you arent careful. Its been my experience that spending $2-3 extra dollars is worth it to purchase from a more reputable seller if the lowest price looks questionable.
Doesn't bother me at all, but they've got to be "like new". The case needs to be in good condition. It bothers me when they're all busted up or have a lot of scratches on them, which is usually the case at Gamestop.
The disc on the other hand I don't mind as much, so long as it plays. I guess it's because I don't have to look at it. :P
Yeah. I mean its the same game, just cheaper. And with blu-ray being harder to ruin than DVD(This is what the internet told me) its got more appeal to buy pre-owned.If it's in good condition, has original packaging and the manual I don't mind.

Yeah, might get the console and the next week get YLOD or RROD if its 360.The only thing that would bother me "buying used" are the consoles themselves.

Hell no. I'm a huge fan of buying online. I can get some sixty dollar games for thirty off of eBay and Craigslist. That's two for the price of one. Or right now, I'm looking for a 360 online, found one that's HDMI and comes with all the knick knacks for 120 used, when I see the same deal for eighty more brand new. It doesn't bother me one bit. As long as the game is intact, I prefer buying online.
No, every used PS3 game i've ever bought worked. I'll buy one as long as the disc is cleaned and it includes the manual and comes in the original box, I'm fine with it.
Seeing as I can only work part time (25-30 hours per week) because I'm going to college, paying my own bills and every now and then trying to help my near bankrupt mother with her bills, I pretty much HAVE to buy used games. I always go to GameStop to do this though, because I do not trust buying them online. At least in the store I can check the disc and box before I buy it. Amnesiac23
same basically. Though sometimes they dont sell games with case with sort of piss me off. They put the used sign on the side and ruin the case with it.
A.) I don't play games like I used to.
B.) As long as the disc isn't mutilated I don't see a problem with it.
C.) Games are cheaper to buy used and come with more incentives/return policies.
I try to avoid buying used games because of two reasons: one is showing my appreciation for the people that made the game and I just don't like the notion that someone else already simply USED the game already. And having a messed up case also somewhat irks me.
it depends on the game for me ....
if its a series i like ...for example ..tekken
it would be a day one buy or buying new
if its a game im on edge about ..ill most likely buy it used in case i dont like it
and i can take it back (gamestop)
What he saidIf it's in good condition, has original packaging and the manual I don't mind.

i have no problem buying used games but the one thing that bugs me when i buy a used game from gamestop is when i take of the price sticker on the box only to leave behind that sticky residue that never truly all comes off....ARRRRRGH HOW I HATE THOSE STICKERS lol
With so many games I really have no time nor finances to purchase ever single game.
Of course buying the used, as long as they are in good condition. I have found many fantastic deals no to mention money saved.
I only really buy used games that were low on my priority list, thus waiting for the price to go down.
But games that are of high priority, I buy upon release (or shortly after) anyways. So it would be new "by default".
Something like Super Street Fighter 4 would be "new", where as a game like Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 would be a "wait until price drop".
