It's more of a goal than a necessity... either way they shouldn't have a problem. They'll hit 1M pretty easy. It's one of the most anticipated games of this gen, on a gloabal scale. I think they will get 1M units in NA alone within the first month.... and likely another 1M in Japan and Europe respectively.

Mark my words, it WILL be the fastest selling PS3 game when it comes out!

No doubt MGS4 can sell 1 million in 1 day considering the game will have a simultanious world-wide release but Kojima Productions is not too fussed. I am certain that MGS4 will be the biggest selling PS3 exclusive of 08 and will sell over 6 million (if not much more)by end of 08 afterallMGS4 is the most enticipated exclusive ever.

It will sell well over 1 million on day one, although it doesn't need too. And ity was Ryan Peyton(the games assistant producer), not Kojima who stated it need to sell 1 million on day one.

No, it's not really have to be on the fist day. Ryan was just telling us to buy the freaking game!!

As you know, ppl like to hype a game more than actually buying and playing it.

They will probably sell over 1 mill on the first day. MGS4 IS the most anticipated PS3 game of the year (And last year for that matter)

Over 1 mill inNA alone i have no doubt that it can happen, As well as Europe Release day one they should be able to do the same
