does ps3 games look good without hd

yes it looks fine, however some games such as burnout paradise are a bit harder to play but that is more down to the game than the system

do ps3 games still look good without an hdtv, or is hd pre-requissite if i buy a ps3? I could get hd, but that is unlikely, and i still want a ps3.lsesrekmsa66

Well of course HD will make it look better .. but SD doesn't make it look bad either ..

You don't need to game on a HD TV, regardless of what people say .. just play the games, it's well worth it, whether it be on HD or SD ..

I usually just play mine in sd (ragular def) and it looks and plays great.

It will still look great in SD. HD makes it much crisper. The only real problem with SD is that text is really blurry and hard to read.analog10

i have a 12 inch SD tv, and yes wide screen took a tad to get used to, but i live with it and it looks great still. just if they ever put a football game in widescreen on a sd, then ill be mad

The games still look really good not amazing like on HD but I have a SD tv and I've been playing PS3 for almost a year now.

The text fonts in games can be small and blurry making it hard to read, Assassin's creed was like that menu was almost impossible to read. Also in GTA 4 navigating the cell phone can be a pain.

But don't let the lack of an HDTV prevent you from playing the PS3 IMO non of the exclusive titles really suffer. WarHawk, Heavenly Sword, Resistance FOM, and Uncharted all looked just fine.

If you play in SDTV you probably can't read it properly

In HD its so crispy and god damn its just amazing:)

some games are fine but most are too choppy and depending on the size of your SDTV the image is reduced.
