Hi fellas, I got a ps3 last oct and I have been playing killzone 2-3 and having a blast online.but when I connect to my xbox live I have been having terrible lag issues while playing mw2,street fighter 4 and many games. Why does my psn not lag ? is it because I am playing a PS3 exclusive?I live in Asia and I know most of thegamers from Asia play ps3 not xbox.I used to never have any lag isses with my xbox live.it started all recently few months ago.how is the psn while playing SF4,mw and many other online games. now I don't want a fan boy reply just an honest opinion about how PSn manages multiplatform games.planing to shift from Xbox 360 to PSN for ever then.

Lag will change from game to game.. It all depends on how well online coding is done, if they use official servers, and alot of other variables.. Including distance from the other players and your internet connection upload/download and ping...

There are way to many reasons for lag to list but mostly depends on the game. Some games use hosts which depends on there interenet speed. Also server issues or just plain game issue creat lag as well. The major difference between PSN and XBL is that you have to have broadband speeds to play on PSN which makes everything a little smoother.

in my experience, lag has been more common on the psn than xbox live. however, i think it depends more on the game and who your playing against than the console itself. for example pes used to be absolutely horrible online (e.g the ball used to magically jump across the whole field) and that was on 360.

It's likely because you aren't connecting to a local server for the Xbox. Where as, the PS3 is a lot more popular in your area, so you're always hooking up with local servers with it. The opposite is probably true for those of us who live in the States; with Xbox being more popular, here, in American.

The amount of time I've experienced lag I can count on one hand, it does vary from game to game, but for the most part there is almost absolutely no lag.

Only time it ever lags with me is on P2P games where the host has a really crap ISP or router that cant handle the strain. Or worse a lag switch, but generally speaking PSn and XBL are pretty much identical in their connection and lag is more based on user to user connection rather than an intervening PSN connection. I downloaded the Resistance demo and was getting 1mBps.. Yes Megabyte per second not megabit, i almost wanted to video it as proof as for some reason people think PSN servers are terrible and nasty and steam powered.
