Does Rainbow 6 get any better??

I am at the part where they took all of my good guns and I have to meet backup with my team. I just hate the fact that I get killed by 1 mexican with 1 shot. I mean I like a good gun battle and this game really doesnt let you do that. Is there something later on in the game that makes it better, like body armor or something to make this game more fun? How is the game ending, is it pretty cool?

The guys in that part have shotguns and they're at very close range. Use cover and proceed cautiously. I think there is a shield you can pickup somewhere in the level as well to help you, but no body armour.

Don't let it frustrate you and at least make it to vegas.

That's the fun of tactical shooters, everything has to be precisely executed and that's the reason I don't like them. I'm more the kind of guy that likes to barge into a room a shoot everything that moves (even puppies). :twisted:

yea that part of the game is hard and the shot guns r annoying. But when u get to the meat of the game which is vegas it is awesome.

lols. yeah i'm like that too, but a little cover can't hurt. But i'm one of those guys who would pick the speed of R:FOM over R6V tactics any day, not that i'm bad.

I prefer the tactical approach.. evokes more thoughtful play :)

I think the question isn't does R6V get any better, it should be "can I get any better... I keep dying...".

I spent all of yesterday(an hour before work, 4 hours after) making my way through this 1 level. 10 PM last night I finally landed in Vegas.

This game is hard (for me) for no other reason than I'm really bad at it. :)guyhunter

yeah it's really hard. But i finally was able to beat 20 guys in terrosist mode, total pawnage!!! :twisted: I'm gonna go for 30 now. the problem is that the game isn't hard, but i lose patience waiting around too much and ducking all of the freaking time. TIP walk with the map on, that helps so much.

I got better at it when I stopped playing it like a game, where you can run in a room and shoot everybody, and more like life, where get your a$$ behind something or die. Take your time, their is no time limit. Make sure when you turn a corner nobody is standing their with a gun pointing at your face.

I have a question, I think Im on one of the last levels, my objective is to kill Irene. I send my dude to hack the computer, and in a couple minutes it says "you failed to kill Irene", every time. What am I doing wrong?

I got better at it when I stopped playing it like a game, where you can run in a room and shoot everybody, and more like life, where get your a$$ behind something or die. Take your time, their is no time limit. Make sure when you turn a corner nobody is standing their with a gun pointing at your face.

I have a question, I think Im on one of the last levels, my objective is to kill Irene. I send my dude to hack the computer, and in a couple minutes it says "you failed to kill Irene", every time. What am I doing wrong?

SPOILER: you are towards the very end, where you walk into a big room. once your guy hacks the computer a lot of guys start rappelling around you, you and your teamate must shoot from cover and take them out as they come. once you get them all...MAKE SURE FIRST BEFORE MOVING ON, then run up the stairs to your left (looking out from computer) and arount to the door-you will see irene through a window but that doesn't matter, once your at the door your guy will say he is opening the door, go through and wait for your guys to regroup with you...play through the next few rooms (there are not many) and you will reach the end of the map with nothing but a small hallway ahead of you, parallel to the room, just send your guys around that corner and you will be done with THAT part of the game, i won't spoil the rest of the mission though ;-)

Im that way too, and i have to admit, it took some getting used to, but its a Awesome Game, its a blast actually having to think also, instead of just Run n Gunning ...

Thanks man, I was pretty sure I just had to clear the room. Im pretty sure Jung was getting killed. The part that confused me was instead of saying "Jung has died" it says "you have failed to kill Irene".

Either the 360 version is easier, or you have the game difficulty on realistic.

I suck at this game, but i never got frustrated with enemies. I just have trouble finding out where to go at times. The first few levels look extremely blurry to me.

No, Im just horrible with shooters. I have fun playing it though, thats all that really matters.

yeah dude. i got that a few times but i figured it out. first you have to help defend the computer with ur other dude. then when you kill everyone he starts talking. then go up the stairs and there will be a dude up there he killed me once so i had to it all over again. then go thru the door and u shoot irene or sumtin like dat. ( i havent played it in a while. ive been on vacation but i remember the level and i think that is what ur supposed to do)
