No it doesn't charge when the system is in standby. It will recharge off any USB port you have. I usually recharge mine off a USB port on my TV or off my laptop when I need to.
yes you can connect it to your PC or anything like that
and you can tell it is charging cuz the lights on top will be flashing, when it is done charging they will be solid

and you're both wrong...when its done the charging the lights will be completely off...not solid. :P
all of us are right cuz if you are using it then the port light that you are on will go from flashing to solid :P
I feel like arguing so you said "they" will be on....a nice try at a cover up though haha
yeah i know i didnt feel like explaining the whole controller port light thing seeing as how he didnt even know how to charge the controller and i knew that it would have turned into an even bigger explanation
