Does the PS3 have a slot for PS2 Memory Cards?

i think i'm getting a PS3 tomorrow, and i might trade in my PS2 to get some credit @ EB Games. i've heard mixed opinions, but:

does the PS3 have a slot for PS2 memory cards?

i want to get my hands ona 60GB model because of the Emotion Engine but if you can play your PS2 games but not have ur PS2 memory card, that kinda defeats the purpose.

i've also heard that you may be able to get an adaptor, something that connects your memory card to a USB port. anybody know?

No, you have to buy an adapter for around $15 to transfer data from your own memory cards, but the PS3 has what is called, Internal Memory Cards, for PS2 and PS1 games, so if you start a new game, you can set up an internal memory card and it will save on the HDD.Flame_Blade88
