Yes... It still looks good. You can still tell is a next gen game but some details are obviously kinda of blurry because is not in HD. All in all, SD is fine.

Yeah it still looks good. I mean, I'm sure HD looks better, but I've decided I really don't want an HDTV in my dorm room, so I'm gonna be using the SDTV for a while.
Yes, the games still do look great running on an SDTV, I actually posted some footage of GTHD running on an SDTV a while back, and the response was pretty much overly positive.
Yes, the PS3 and the 360 look fine on an SDTV. You will come across some games that might have portions of the upper or lower screen cut off, as well as games with very small and difficult to read text. The games for these systems are made for a widescreen HD format, but even on an SD they are going to look much better than your standard PS2 and Xbox games. I had an SDTV with both systems for quite some time before finally upgrading.
the picture is sooo blurry on 480i, it looks better the farther away you are. colors dont blend in nice, and text is hard to read and the screen wont be able to fit in 4:3.
