the 2 medal of honor games are short, but i loved them, as well as call of duty. also ghost recon advance warfighter can be played in third or first person, and rainbow six vegas is fps too. i havent tried coded arms yet cuz im not a science fiction fps fan , but im running out of options and will try them soon.
the socom games can be played in first person too, but the controls were too hard to get used to for me.
I think Raibow Six Vegas is an FPS, its nothing special but it will keep you occupied. I liked Coded Arms and Coded Arms Contagion, too, but like RS Vegas, they're not particularly special.
I think there's one FPS during PSP's initial launch stage. It's called SOCOM Navy Seals or something. It's not a big hit, but at least it can satisfy your appetite on portable FPS.
I rented Medal of Honor Heroes 1 and I made a big dent in the campaign just a few hours in. Not a bad game, but aiming with the face buttons is very awkward if you're used to more refined FPS like on the PC. Then again the online portion is pretty nice for a handheld. The shooters worth your time are Syphon Filter, Star Wars Battlefront, and Killzone:Liberation.
really low expectations? they arent that bad. sure aiming with the face buttons isnt as good as another thumb stick, but if you are an fps fan then they are great. if you are used to ps3 or xbox 360 graphics you may be disapointed, but i think they are almost at ps2 quality.
